Alongside the ongoing works to widen and enhance the shared cycle and pedestrian footpath on the A10 from Waterbeach (Denny End Road) to Milton (Ely Road), contractors Breheny, are also working to install a new toucan crossing to allow pedestrians and cyclists to safely cross the A10 just north of the Waterbeach Road junction. As part of these works the existing surfacing on the A10 junction must be removed and a new surface laid.
Due to working restrictions dictated by the A10 traffic flow these works will be carried out overnight under temporary traffic lights between 20:00 and 06:00. It is anticipated that this will be completed over two nights on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th May 2022. Unfortunately some of the required work activities will create noise which regrettably may be heard from your property. We have worked with our contractor to adopt methods that minimise noise and have consulted with South Cambridgeshire District Council’s Environmental Planning department. The activities generating the most noise have been planned for the start of the works each evening, with quieter activities being carried out afterwards in the early hours of the morning.
