A10 Roundabout – works for new construction access underway

a10 improvements
Work is underway to put in place the new access from the A10, which will act as both the main construction access, and in time a key gateway entrance for first residents.

As part of the works being taken forward by contractors J Breheny, and to support the new turning off the Cambridge Research Park roundabout, there are restrictions in place on the roundabout and slip roads. These are in place to keep the workforce safe and keep traffic moving safely.

Among the work being undertaken some of the hedged areas will be cleared to ensure the right level of visibility for the new roundabout arm. This will be in advance of a tree planting programme which will begin later this year and see the planting of 17,000 trees.

Rebecca Britton, added:

“We have been working with Breheny to minimise the impacts of these works on the local area and local traffic, and are grateful for people’s patience. There will be additional works later in the Autumn which will require additional impact on the A10 and we will keep people updated on those as the details are finalised with the County Council Highways Team.”
